Linux Operating System for Developers
A Linux operating system is quite different from a Windows operating system. They run off of different open-source operating systems such as Fedora and many more. Although they are not popular among regular users, many developers feel that a Linux laptop can be seen as a better option over a windows laptop. Linux can also be a dual-booted system that can coincide with windows.
Why is Linux Better Than Windows
Developers like to compare Linux and windows to see where Windows falls short. A huge reason why Linux can become a favorite for developers is that the system is compared in durability and speed. Linux has been proven to run faster and smoother than windows. This can cause Linux to be looked at as more favorable. Windows has been known to run fast at the beginning but over time it slows down until replaced. Linux can be compared to the more modern version of windows making it easier to keep up with times.
Another thing that makes Linux more popular than Windows is that the security features in Linux are more desirable. Although it seems as though Linux security is quite simple, it is rather hard for the security of this system to be compromised. The high-tech security on the Linux operating system is very desirable to many users. Linux allows its users the ability to fix their and security malfunctions since the system is open-sourced. This makes the operating system extremely user-friendly and easy for consumers to rely less on the manufacturer's developers.
Windows oftentimes make the operating system too complicated for their users to understand but not complicated enough for experienced hackers. When hackers attack a Windows operating system then they will have full admin over the system meaning that the operating system will completely shut down or be corrupt. This makes it quite impossible to regain access to their operating system without the help of someone who is experienced in Microsoft, to replace the system.

Also, Linux requires fewer tools and hardware making it easy to install. Linux can be customized to the users' wants and needs without waiting for any updates to occur. With the flexibility of the operating system, users can install Linux software on older operating systems with no problems. The older operating system will work just as well as a new system.
Can You Buy a laptop with Linux On it?
The answer is yes. You can buy a laptop with Linux on it. It might be better as a new developer that you get a laptop that has Linux already installed to be sure that it is properly installed and supported. A good thing to look for when trying to find a laptop with Linux installed is a laptop that says the developer's edition. Some laptops also state that Linux is included which will help in deciding which is the best laptop for your needs.
